Different take
This month we have something a little different for you.
Some of our customers are ASMR (Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response) content producers. Whilst ASMR is not new, the concept of ASMR is unknown to some people.
For this blog we are have been fortunate enough to interview Charne Caeser who is a YouTuber creating ASMR content.
Check out what Charne had to say below.
The Charne Caesar interview

Many thanks for taking the time to spare the time for this interview. As an ice breaker tell us a little bit about the real Charne
At my core, I’m someone who deeply values family and friendships, I’m definitely a “ride or die” kind of person when it comes to my loved ones. I have a soft side and a big heart, especially for those closest to me (and that includes my dog, who is very much my fur baby!).
Music and dance are my happy place, they lift my spirits and keep me feeling positive and connected. I’m also passionate about health and fitness, and I make time every single day to move my body. Cooking is another love of mine; I truly enjoy creating delicious, healthy meals that nourish both body and soul.
I’d say I’m a mix of fun and focus, I love to laugh and joke around, but I know when to take things seriously. I’m also a bit of a clean freak and super organized, which honestly helps me feel balanced and in control.
Positivity is something I live by. No matter what life throws at me, I believe in the power of a good mindset and always try to uplift myself and others. I’m also known to be very honest, some might call it blunt, but I see it as being real. At the end of the day, I’m always striving to grow, to do better, and to bring good vibes wherever I go.
You have been producing ASMR content for a while on YouTube. Are you able to describe what ASMR is all about to help members of our audience understand?
ASMR is a calming, tingling sensation people get from certain sounds or visuals. In my videos, I create relaxing and satisfying balloon sounds, like tapping, inflating, deflating, and popping, to help viewers unwind, de-stress, or just enjoy unique sensory experiences.
What got you into making ASMR content on YouTube?
I actually started out as an ASMR fan myself, I loved watching ASMR videos and found them really relaxing and uplifting. That enjoyment sparked a curiosity in me to try creating my own content. In the beginning, I experimented with a variety of sounds just to see what felt right and what resonated with viewers.
Over time, I discovered how much I enjoy working with balloons and how satisfying those sounds were, not just for me, but for others too. That’s when I really started leaning into balloon-based ASMR, and it’s now the main focus of my channel. It’s been such a fun and creative journey, and I genuinely love the content I create.
Many of your videos feature balloons. What are the things that you like about using balloons for ASMR content?
There’s something incredibly satisfying and unique about the sounds balloons make, whether I’m tapping, scratching, inflating, deflating, or just gently handling them. Each action creates a different texture of sound, and that variety is what makes balloon ASMR so fun to create and watch.
I also love the visual side of it, the different shapes, sizes, colors, and prints all add something special to the experience. One of my favorite parts is inflating balloons really big. There's this exciting build-up, especially when I know a pop might be coming, that anticipation creates such a fun and intense moment, and I think viewers really feel that too. It’s playful, a little unpredictable, and full of energy, which is exactly why I enjoy it so much.
What are the things that you dislike about using balloons for ASMR content?
As much as I love using balloons, they can definitely be unpredictable. I’ve had a few pop in ways I didn’t expect, I’ve ended up with bruises, and even taken a hit to the eye or lip!
Blow-to-pops and sit-to-pops can be intense.
They’ve also hit my camera before and put a lot of strain on my mic, the sudden loud pops can be overwhelming for the equipment. I’ve had to mentally prepare for the day my mic might just give up on me!
That said, even with the occasional chaos, I still love creating balloon ASMR. The fun and creativity always make it worth it.
ASMR featuring balloons appears to have become more mainstream over the years on YouTube and other online platforms. What do you think has driven this popularity in ASMR balloon content?
I think the growing popularity of balloon ASMR comes down to curiosity at first. When people see the high view counts on these types of videos, they naturally get intrigued. That curiosity often leads to a deeper understanding of the niche and what makes it appealing.
Whether it’s the unique sounds balloons make, the element of surprise and anticipation, or even the visual aspect, balloon ASMR offers something different. For some, it’s purely about relaxation or sensory enjoyment, while for others it may connect to personal interests or fetishes. Whatever the reason, it’s become something that many ASMR lovers have found enjoyment in, and I think that open-mindedness is part of what’s helped it grow.
We hear about online stalkers and people who exhibit predatory behaviour to people making online content for social media. Do you worry about your personal safety from being so visible in the public eye?
It’s definitely something I’m aware of and take seriously. Being visible online does come with risks, so I stay cautious and mindful of how much I share and how I engage. I absolutely won’t tolerate predatory behavior or disrespect, and I’m confident in setting boundaries and handling those situations appropriately if they ever arise.
That said, I’ve been really fortunate so far. My YouTube community has been nothing but supportive, sweet, and respectful. I feel incredibly grateful for the kindness my subscribers show, it truly makes a difference and helps create a safe, welcoming space on my channel.
How do you cope with everyday people, friends, family etc.. knowing about you making online content?
Honestly, only a few close friends and family know about it, not everyone. But the ones who do have been really supportive and encouraging, which means a lot to me.
When people ask, I usually just say I create online content, it’s such a normal thing these days that most don’t dig too deep, and they think it’s pretty cool. I stay focused on what I love doing, and as long as the people who matter to me are behind me, that’s all I need.
Some people are afraid of balloons, be it the sound, smell, texture or unpredictability of balloons. With the amount of balloons that you work with, do you ever get scared?
Honestly, balloons have never scared me, not even in the beginning. I’ve always understood their unpredictable nature, so it was never something that made me nervous. If anything, balloons make me happy. They’ve always brought fun, positive memories, and now they’ve become a huge part of my creative outlet.
What’s been really exciting through this journey is learning how much you can actually push balloons, like creating big necks during inflations, which I never did before starting ASMR content. I’ve also learned a ton from my subscribers about different types of balloons, their sizes, shapes, and all the fun and creative ways to use or pop them.
It’s become such a playful and imaginative space for me. With all the ways I combine balloons into different themes and roleplays, I feel like I’ll never run out of ideas for new content.
Bonus question for if you are not scared. How would you suggest people who feel uncomfortable with balloons to be more comfortable around balloons?
I’d say the first step is accepting that balloons are unpredictable, and that’s okay. You can’t always control when or how they might pop, but that unpredictability is part of the fun. Just go with it, and remind yourself that no matter what happens, you’ll be just fine.
Balloons are meant to be playful, fun, and even beautiful, so try approaching them with that mindset. Start slowly, maybe just touching or gently inflating them, and over time, as you get used to the sounds and feel, the fear tends to fade. The more you play with them, the more comfortable and relaxed you’ll become.
What are your favourite ways in which to use balloons for ASMR content?
I honestly enjoy everything about working with balloons, but if I had to pick favorites, I’d say I really love tapping on them when they’re under-inflated or over-inflated, the sounds are so rich, crisp, and incredibly relaxing. There’s just something about that tension in the balloon that creates such a satisfying sound.
When the balloon is under-inflated, I also enjoy massaging it and teasing it with my nails — the textures and sounds are soft, playful, and full of variety. It’s all done right up close to the camera so my viewers can feel like they’re right there with me, experiencing every little sound and sensation. And of course, I love finishing it all off with a nail pop, it adds the perfect final touch.
You have used many types, shapes, brands of balloons in your content. Have you got a favourite balloon that you like to use?
Yes! I really enjoy using punch ball balloons, they create such a long, satisfying neck, and they’re so playful. Whether I’m doing a blow-to-pop or just tying one off and bouncing it around, it’s always a fun experience.
I also love printed balloons, especially polka dots, and I’m a big fan of red balloons, that’s definitely my favorite color to use. Marble balloons are another favorite of mine; they’re so unique and visually striking, they really stand out on camera and add something special to the content.
A big standout for me has been the Belbal 14" logo balloons that Balloon Ace introduced me to, they’re absolutely stunning! And I have to say, the clear 18" Qualatex balloons completely impressed me. The quality is amazing, and they’ve definitely opened my eyes to what I’ve been missing. I’ll for sure be adding more of those to my collection soon.
If other people are looking at getting into ASMR / balloon ASMR, are there any tips that you would give them?
Absolutely, my first piece of advice is safety first! I definitely recommend wearing protective glasses and using earplugs, especially for blow-to-pop content. Trust me, you’ll still get that adrenaline rush! the sound is still there, just slightly reduced, which helps protect your hearing in the long run.
When I started out, I didn’t feel the need for ear protection because the popping didn’t bother me. But the more I worked with balloons, the more I realized how intense those sounds can be and how they can affect your ears over time. Luckily, someone close to me warned me early on, and I’m so glad I listened!
For anyone thinking of starting balloon ASMR, GO FOR IT! It’s incredibly fun, creative, and freeing. I can film wherever, whenever, and it’s given me a platform I’m truly grateful for. No regrets at all, it’s been a beautiful journey and a real blessing.
If people want to view your online content where are the best places to look?
Right now, the best place to view my content is on my YouTube channel: ASMR Charne Caesar, that’s my main platform where I post all my ASMR videos.
You can also find me on Instagram: @asmrcharnecaesar, where I share photos, reels, and you’re welcome to DM me for custom requests.
I’ve been thinking about expanding and possibly offering video sales in the near future, but for now, what I’m doing already keeps me pretty busy! I’m just really grateful for how far I’ve come and for the amazing support I’ve had from my YouTube subscribers, many of whom have been with me since day one. I truly appreciate every bit of it, along with all the wonderful new friends I’ve made along the way.
Have you got any closing thoughts that you would like to share with us?
Thank you so much for the opportunity to share a bit of my world! Creating ASMR balloon content is more than just a niche, it’s a way to connect, calm, and even help people overcome their fears in a playful, sensory way. I’m excited to see how this creative space continues to grow, and I’m grateful to be part of that journey. Whether it’s the satisfying stretch of a balloon or the thrill of a pop, I’m here for it all, and I hope others can find joy in it too! I’m truly thankful for platforms like Balloon Ace for giving voices like mine a place to shine, and to my amazing subscribers, your support means everything. I’m here to stay, and I can’t wait to keep growing, popping, and creating with you all!
